About this opportunity
Insurance Coverage & Bad Faith Litigation Attorney | Philadelphia, PA | 4 to 10 yrs | $150,000 to $220,000 | Insurance Coverage
One of the scarcest specialties in insurance law, with carriers who keep coming back to the lawyers they trust. For a litigator looking to stand out, coverage is a strong move.
This Philadelphia firm represents national and international insurers in coverage disputes and bad faith litigation.
The work
- Declaratory judgment actions in state and federal court
- Defense of bad faith claims
- Coverage opinions across GL, professional, cyber and property policies
- Depositions, dispositive motions and appeals
- Direct work with claims and coverage counsel
What I’m looking for
- Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar
- 4 to 10 years of litigation, including at least 2 in coverage
- Sharp policy analysis and writing
Strong defense litigators keen to move into coverage will be considered.
How the mentoring works
Senior coverage partners walk you through complex policy questions and review your opinions until you’re writing ones carriers rely on.
How the role scales
Mid level attorneys build expertise across policy types. Senior lawyers lead major disputes and become the trusted adviser for coverage teams. The salary range rewards that.
Why coverage work is special
Coverage lawyers are scarce. That makes the specialty highly portable and gives you leverage throughout your career.
Pace and flexibility
The office runs hybrid. Coverage advice work also gives you more control over your schedule than pure trial work.
Why move
Demanding litigation, national clients and a specialty in short supply.
