Pay Rate: $30-32 / hour

About the Organization

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable specialist to support the accounting operations of a nonprofit organization. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is comfortable managing high-volume transactions, working across multiple entities, and operating in different software systems.

Position Summary

This is a temporary position with the potential to become a permanent hire for the right candidate, and the organization is looking to fill it as soon as possible. The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for accurate, timely processing of a high volume of invoices and employee expense reports across multiple entities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and experienced with Concur and MIP accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices, including coding, matching, approval routing, and entry into MIP
• Review and audit employee expense reports for policy compliance, proper documentation, and correct coding
• Prepare and run weekly check and ACH payment batches
• Accurately allocate and code transactions across multiple entities, funds, and grants, including intercompany transactions as needed
• Reconcile vendor statements and research and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment inquiries
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
• Accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment
• Experience with MIP and Concur is highly preferred
• Experience processing AP for multiple entities
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
