Remote Residential Project Manager - ANYWHERE IN THE US

About us
Blue Collar Scholars is a design-build firm serving Maryland, Washington DC and Northern Virginia. We started in 2008 with one truck, and today we build home remodels, additions, decks, screened porches, sunrooms and outdoor living spaces. We’re growing fast and adding project managers.
The role
You own each project remotely, from the handoff from sales through closeout and final payment. This is a management role, not coordination: you run the job.
- Talk with homeowners and subcontractors every day: morning plans, end-of-day updates.
- Manage schedules, materials, permits, quality, change orders and budget.
- Verify work remotely through photos, video and measurements before approving each stage or payment.
- Keep project records current in Buildertrend.
- Protect the customer experience and the job’s margin.
What we’re looking for
- Experience personally managing residential remodeling or construction projects, including subcontractors and budgets.
- Clear, confident communication with homeowners, especially when there’s bad news.
- Ability to manage multiple active projects at once.
- Comfort working fully remotely on US Eastern hours. No site visits.
- Buildertrend or similar construction software is a plus.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
