Role Description: The Project Manager Position II is a full-time role responsible for leading automation and conveyor system projects from concept through completion. This role coordinates cross-functional teams, manages schedules and budgets, and oversees project documentation to ensure successful delivery of engineered solutions for client facilities. Daily activities include tracking project milestones, expediting critical materials and services, managing logistics, and supporting installation and commissioning efforts. The Project Manager Position II engages with clients to clarify requirements, provide status updates, and resolve issues while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards. The role also contributes to continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements and supporting optimization of Century’s project management practices.

Travel Requirements: This position requires approximately 30–50% travel to customer jobsites throughout the contiguous United States. Travel will include onsite project coordination, installation oversight, customer meetings, and project-related activities as needed.

Employee Location: Ideally, candidates should be based in the eastern United States, preferably east of the Mississippi River.

Experience: Century Conveyor Systems is seeking a candidate for the role of Project Manager II. The ideal candidate will have at least five (5) years of experience in the Material Handling or Commercial Construction industry

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in project management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination.
• A thorough understanding of the proposed scope of work and the utilization of tools to execute the project including AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project) and other project related software tools is required.
• Strong expeditor and expediting skills to manage procurement timelines, vendor follow-up, and on-time delivery of materials.
• Experience with logistics management, including coordination of shipments, installations, and site activities.
• Inspection skills for reviewing equipment, installations, and documentation to ensure quality and compliance.
• Experience managing technical or engineering projects in material handling, automation, or industrial systems.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate remotely with internal teams and clients.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on meeting deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in industrial and warehouse environments is beneficial.
