Geneva Business Analyst

Position: Geneva BA consultant

Location: New York (100% Onsite 5 days a week)

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting, or Finance

MBA and / or CFA certifications are a plus

Experience Required:

9+ years of total professional experience with at least 5 years as a Business Analyst

Advent Geneva experience preferred. (at least 3 years)

Prior experience in asset management firms or fund administrators; work within alternative asset managers is a significant plus

Strong MS-SQL skills

Experience in business-facing roles coordinating directly with key stakeholders

General Requirements:

Prior hands-on knowledge as a business analyst on Investment/Portfolio accounting systems

Working knowledge of accounting basics

Data Warehousing knowledge and experience.

Familiarity with cloud platforms.

Familiarity with institutional trading workflows and technology

Ability to synthesize business challenges and clearly present a business case, able to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner

Strong organization and documentation skills

Strong SQL skills to work with large volumes of data

Able to prioritize in a fast moving, high pressure, dynamic business environment

Demonstrate excellent communication (verbal and written) and time management skills with an ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines

A self-directed individual with a can-do attitude, willing to work in an energetic, fast-paced team environment, a proactive nature and the ability to resolve issues with minimal supervision.
