Salary: upto $160,000 + bonus & benefits

Overview:

I'm working with an established public accounting firm looking to appoint an experienced Audit & Assurance Manager to join its growing team in Maryland.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced audit professional who enjoys leading engagements, managing client relationships and delivering high-quality financial statement audits.

The role will involve:

• Managing audit and assurance engagements from initial planning through to final deliverables.
• Developing engagement plans, budgets and schedules, monitoring progress and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Taking ownership of client relationships and acting as the primary point of contact.
• Providing leadership, direction and support to engagement teams.
• Ensuring high-quality work, effective communication and excellent client service.
• Overseeing engagement billing and collections.

What they're looking for:

• 5+ years of experience within a public accounting firm.
• Active CPA licence required.
• Strong financial statement (FS) audit experience is essential.
• Experience managing audit engagements and client relationships.
• Knowledge of audit software such as CaseWare or ProSystem fx.
• Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
