Insurance Defence Attorney

Insurance Defense Attorney (All Levels) | Baltimore or Easton, MD (Hybrid) | $115,000 to $225,000+

I’m recruiting for a national civil defense firm that’s growing in Maryland. They’ll take insurance defense attorneys at any level, from any area of the practice. So here’s the job, depending on who you are.

If you’re 3 to 7 years in

• $115,000 to $150,000.
• Your own files. Pleadings, motions and depositions with your name on them.
• A firm that’s been building its Maryland bench, which means room to move up as it grows.

If you’re 8 to 15 years in

• $140,000 to $200,000.
• Cases you run independently from suit to settlement or trial, and the strategy calls that go with them.
• Clients from household name corporations to individuals and small business owners, so the work rarely repeats itself.

If you’re partner level

• $180,000 to $225,000 and beyond.
• Origination and bonus are part of the package. How much depends on what you bring, and I’ll get you a straight answer early.
• A national platform for your clients, with offices across several states plus DC.

Whatever your level

• General liability, personal injury, product liability and professional liability. Experience from elsewhere in insurance defense is welcome too.
• Hybrid, with flexible schedules, in Baltimore or Easton.
• 401(k) profit sharing, medical, dental and vision, life and AD&D, short and long term disability, medical and dependent care FSAs and holiday pay.

The essentials

• A JD and an active Maryland license.
• At least 3 years of insurance defense.
• DC bar or transferable UBE scores helps. One bar is plenty.
