Find your lane

• Business: commercial and business litigation, employment litigation, appellate work
• Insurance: insurance defense and coverage, including premises, auto and trucking
• Liability: professional liability, medical malpractice, products liability, personal injury, complex and catastrophic cases
• Property: construction and real estate litigation
• General civil litigation if your practice spans a few of these
• One or two areas, done well, is plenty.

The money, plainly

• Associates through senior associates: $135,000 to $260,000, depending on experience
• Book of business: up to $300,000. The size of the book sets where you land.
• Billable target of 1,800+
