I’m recruiting for a national insurance defense and coverage firm, hiring in its Raleigh office. Coverage and defense sit under one roof. You learn how a carrier weighs a claim before it ever lands on your desk as a lawsuit, and that makes you sharper at both.

The files coming in
- Trucking and transportation
- Premises liability
- Construction defect, plus disputes between owners, contractors, subs and architects
- Product liability
- Professional liability, including malpractice and E&O
- One strong defense background is enough. Nobody expects all five.

- Up to $240,000
The practical bits
- Billable target of 1,850 to 1,900 hours, depending on level
- Depositions, mediations and court appearances
- In the Raleigh office three days a week. The other two are yours to plan around hearings, depositions and life.
You’ll bring
- North Carolina bar admission
- Associates: 2+ years of insurance defense experience
- Partners: an established insurance defense practice with carrier relationships
- Reports an adjuster can read in two minutes and act on
