Allegiance Group has partnered with a well-established mechanical contractor looking to bring on a Senior Assistant Project Manager to support two major mechanical construction projects in Beaufort, South Carolina.

With a combined project value of approximately $40 million and an anticipated duration of 3–4 years, this is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term project and take on a key site-based role.

The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day project activities, working closely with field teams and supporting the wider Project Management team across both projects.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day project coordination across two major mechanical construction projects.
• Act as the main project management representative on site.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, field staff and subcontractors.
• Manage RFIs, submittals and change orders.
• Monitor project progress and assist with scheduling and delivery.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager on more complex project matters.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager or similar within mechanical construction.
• Strong experience with mechanical construction, particularly piping and HVAC.
• Experience managing RFIs, submittals and change orders.
• Understanding of mechanical building systems and construction processes.
• Experience working with field teams and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of sheet metal, controls, plumbing or medical gas would be advantageous.
