This is an established, well-respected CPA firm in Fairfield County, based in Shelton. It’s big enough to offer a broad and interesting client base, and small enough that your work gets noticed and you have a real say in how things run. You’ll work alongside experienced CPAs who care about doing things right and about developing their people. The firm is growing, and that growth is opening two seats on the tax team.

What You’ll Do

• Review, and prepare where needed, individual, partnership, corporate, and fiduciary returns
• Act as a trusted point of contact for a portfolio of business owners and high net worth individuals
• Find tax planning and advisory opportunities that add real value for clients
• Lead engagements from start to finish and keep deadlines and workflow on track
• Mentor, train, and review the work of staff and seniors
• Research complex tax issues and turn them into clear, practical recommendations

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of public accounting tax experience (Supervisors and strong Senior/Supervisor level candidates are encouraged to apply)
• CPA or EA preferred (candidates actively pursuing the CPA will be considered)
• Solid experience with both business and individual returns
• Comfort working directly with clients and leading engagements
• A team-first attitude and a desire to grow with the firm
