Sr. Accountant

LHH is partnering with a client in midtown Manhattan area for a Sr. Accountant with their CPA. The role will be responsible for producing monthly financial statements, preparing monthly closings for separate consolidating entities, and reviewing monthly accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure both systems have properly transferred to the general ledger. This position is on-site in the office 5 days/week. This client also requires previous Not For Profit accounting experience.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with preparation of the month end close
• Manage fixed asset depreciations reports
• Verify expenses for different asset categories
• Be a key player in annual budget and monthly variance analysis
• Prepare journal entries and financial statement reports
• Assess, document, and record the accounting impact of transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Prepare the monthly cash flow analysis
• Interact with external and internal auditors
• Ad hoc projects and reporting

What we look for:

• 5-8 years of experience within a not for profit environment
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related business field
• Positive attitude
• Team player
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
• Strong EXCEL
• GreatPlains experience required
• CPA required
