Senior Director of Accounts Payable

Our client is a fast-growing healthcare operator with more than 30 locations across seven states. They have added buildings every year through new construction and acquisitions, and they're building finance to keep pace.

This is a new seat. You'll lead accounts payable across a multi-entity organization: set the process, pick the tools, coach the team, and report to senior leadership on how cash goes out the door.

What you'll own

• AP for a multi-entity organization, with a Director of AP and three associates
• Days payable outstanding (DPO) by entity: calculation, analysis, and monthly reporting, including the why when it runs long
• A continuous-close mindset in AP, and leading the AP side of month-end
• Accrual timing with Accounting so expenses land in the right period
• Intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Strong internal controls
• Vendor master integrity with Procurement, plus vendor relationships and negotiations
• Process improvement and AI automation as the company grows

What you bring

• 7 to 10 years of progressive AP experience
• People leadership, including leading leaders or a growing team
• Healthcare experience
• Multi-entity AP, intercompany, and close experience
• A track record of automating and improving AP workflows
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field

Nice to have

• BILL AP and Sage Intacct
• Skilled nursing, post-acute, or other multi-site healthcare provider experience
• Vendor negotiation wins
• AP automation or AI project leadership
