The company:

This is working for a leading commercial concrete contractor with a national footprint and an established Nashville office. They deliver technically demanding concrete work across data centers, power generation, water and wastewater treatment, manufacturing and industrial facilities. They’re known for quality work and long-standing customer relationships.

The role:

• Review drawings, specs and addenda, and produce detailed takeoffs for concrete, formwork, rebar and embeds
• Build estimates covering labor hours, materials and equipment across several live bids at once
• Request and compare supplier and subcontractor pricing, then prepare bid packages and proposals
• Flag risks, qualifications and value-engineering options, and present estimates to management
• Work closely with customers and operations to make the handover from bid to build smooth

What you’ll bring:

• [3+] years of estimating experience with a concrete contractor or commercial GC
• Strong plan-reading skills and a solid grasp of concrete means and methods (foundations, slab on grade, elevated and structural)
• Skill with takeoff software such as On-Screen Takeoff or Bluebeam, plus strong Excel
• Clear communication, strong working relationships and the ability to juggle priorities without losing the detail
• Industrial, data center or water/wastewater experience and a Construction Management or Engineering degree are a plus
