About this opportunity

Full-time, onsite in Kenosha · $80,000–$100,000 base + a bonus plan we'll build with you · Health plan and 401(k)

HandiRamp, a division of HandiProducts, has manufactured custom accessibility and material-handling solutions since 1958. We serve the public, commercial and consumer markets with a variety of products that make human and machine access easier, safer and more efficient. We're about a $12MM company, small enough that one person can change our trajectory, and large enough to have the resources to invest in great ideas. We run lean by putting AI to work across the business.

THE ROLE

You'll lead two small teams: an inside sales team that runs on inbound demand today, and an in-house marketing and creative team. You'll build our first outbound sales program, own lead generation, and have room to rebuild marketing and digital from the ground up. You can reshape both teams however you see fit, as long as you can show the owner and the executive team why it makes sense. Our owner has run this business for 30 years. He has strong opinions, he lives by the numbers, and a well-reasoned case backed by data will win him over. You'll lead from the front, using AI tools and agents to make a small team perform like a much bigger one.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead and coach the inside sales team: set targets, run the pipeline, and raise close rates.
  • Build an outbound program from scratch, covering who we target, the plays we run, cadence, tools, and accountability.
  • Own lead generation from end to end, inbound and outbound, and work alongside our lead-generation team.
  • Rebuild marketing and digital with our in-house creative team: website, content, paid and organic channels, trade shows, and the CRM.
  • Build AI tools and agents into how the team prospects, follows up, creates content, and reports.
  • Build fully reasoned, data-backed cases for changes to people, process, and spend, then present them to the owner and the executive team.

WHO YOU ARE

  • A builder. You've started something of your own, or built sales and marketing from scratch at a small company. If it didn't work out, we want to hear what you learned.
  • Someone who has personally sold and personally marketed, and who has also led salespeople and held them to a number.
  • Someone who has built outbound, or turned a team that only took inbound calls into one that hunts.
  • Someone who uses AI tools in your own work and has spent the past year teaching yourself to use them better.
  • Driven and hands-on. This isn't a 9-to-5 job, and you're energized by that.
  • Fluent in numbers: pipeline, margins, CAC, and ROI. You win arguments with data, and you can respectfully challenge an experienced owner while staying open to his experience.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience in a manufacturing and/or production environment. (If you can weld, we might just fall in love!)
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation (we use Zoho).
  • Conversational Spanish or even Spanglish is valuable.
