Workers' Compensation Attorney - New York, NY - ONSITE
A growing law firm is seeking a Workers' Compensation Attorney to join its New York office. This opportunity is open to both newly admitted attorneys and experienced practitioners looking to further develop their careers within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The firm offers mentorship, a strong support structure, and the opportunity to advocate on behalf of injured workers throughout New York.
Responsibilities:
- Handle workers' compensation cases from intake through resolution
- Attend hearings, conferences, depositions, and settlement negotiations
- Draft motions, pleadings, and legal correspondence
- Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel
- Review case files, medical records, and evidence to develop case strategy
- Manage deadlines and provide effective advocacy on behalf of injured workers
Requirements:
- Active New York Bar admission or recently passed the New York Bar and Character/Fitness requirements
- 0-5 years of legal experience
- Workers' compensation experience preferred but not required for entry-level candidates
Additional Details:
- Compensation: Competitive base salary based on years of experience
- Schedule: Fully onsite in Lower Manhattan
- Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Monday-Thursday; 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Friday
