Our flagship product, FebriDx, is a rapid point-of-care diagnostic test designed to help differentiate between bacterial and viral acute respiratory infections.

As we continue expanding our U.S. commercial presence, we are looking for experienced sales professionals who can help introduce FebriDx to new customers, develop strategic relationships, and support successful product adoption across healthcare settings.

About the Opportunity

As a National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales performance and expanding the commercial adoption of FebriDx within your assigned territory.

This is a field-based, customer-facing sales position requiring strong business development capabilities, established healthcare industry knowledge, and the ability to independently manage a territory.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive quarterly and annual revenue growth through new customer acquisition, product placement, and increased FebriDx utilization.
  • Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities within hospitals, emergency departments, urgent care centers, physician office laboratories, and other healthcare settings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare decision-makers, clinical stakeholders, and distribution partners.
  • Develop and execute strategic territory sales plans to achieve revenue and customer adoption objectives.
  • Collaborate with distribution partners to identify opportunities, conduct customer sales calls, and support commercial initiatives.
  • Manage opportunities through the sales cycle, from initial prospecting and customer engagement through product evaluation, implementation, and ongoing utilization.
  • Support customer onboarding, product education, training, and successful implementation of FebriDx.
  • Develop relationships with key opinion leaders and clinical champions to support product awareness and adoption.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer activity records, and opportunity pipelines through CRM systems.
  • Partner with Commercial, Marketing, Technical Support, and other cross-functional teams to drive business growth.
  • Represent Lumos Diagnostics at industry conferences, distributor meetings, and relevant healthcare events.

Required Experience and Qualifications

We are specifically seeking candidates with relevant clinical diagnostics or medical industry sales experience.

To be considered, candidates must demonstrate:

  • 3–5 years of sales, marketing, or business development experience in clinical diagnostics or the medical industry.
  • A demonstrated track record of developing new business, managing sales territories, and achieving sales targets.
  • Experience engaging healthcare professionals, hospital systems, clinical decision-makers, or medical distribution partners.
  • Strong prospecting, account development, negotiation, and relationship-management capabilities.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans while managing multiple customer opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, results-driven commercial environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant medical sales/marketing experience.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with the following experience will be particularly well-positioned for success:

  • Rapid diagnostics, point-of-care testing, or infectious disease diagnostics sales experience.
  • Experience selling diagnostic products into hospitals, emergency departments, urgent care networks, or physician office laboratories.
  • Established relationships with healthcare providers, clinical decision-makers, or medical distribution networks.
  • Experience launching, commercializing, or expanding adoption of diagnostic products.
  • Experience working with medical distributors to generate new business and drive product utilization.

Performance Expectations

Success in this role will be measured through four key areas:

Revenue Growth: Achieving quarterly and annual sales objectives through new customer acquisition and increased FebriDx utilization.

New Customer Adoption: Developing qualified opportunities and converting prospects into active FebriDx customers.

Customer Implementation: Supporting product onboarding, customer education, training, and continued utilization.
