I’m currently working on an exciting opportunity for a Senior Litigation Counsel to join the US legal team of a high-growth, publicly listed fintech at a pivotal stage of its US expansion. This is a genuinely broad role covering government investigations, regulatory matters and litigation risk, with significant exposure to regulators and government agencies.

The role:

• Lead and shape strategy around government investigations and regulatory matters
• Conduct detailed fact-finding and investigation work
• Manage and instruct external counsel where required
• Draft clear, well-substantiated responses to regulators and government bodies
• Work closely with US regulators as the business continues to expand its banking operations
• Operate independently within a complex, matrix environment
• Balance strategic legal advice with hands-on, commercial execution

What we're looking for:

• Senior US litigator with hands-on government investigations and regulatory experience
• Strong in-house experience following training at a leading law firm
• Comfortable working independently and influencing across a matrix organisation
• Pragmatic, commercially minded and very much a “doer”
• Experience within a lean legal team, particularly in financial services/banking, would be advantageous
• Consumer-facing litigation experience is highly desirable
• Candidates from a regulator or consumer-facing financial organisation with regulatory exposure may also be considered
