Vice President of Sales

One of my top food manufacturers based in CA is hiring a Retail Sales Leader to lead National US Retail sales over team (12-14) and channels including mass, club, grocery, and specialty. We are looking for both a hands-on player/coach and strategic/visionary blend. May lead to CSO level down the road. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving profitable growth across retail business nationally, developing key customer partnerships, and building a scalable commercial strategy for the next stage of the company’s growth. The ideal candidate is a proven sales leader with deep experience in the food industry and US retail channels, with a strong track record of growing branded and non-branded food businesses, developing major retail accounts, leading high-performing sales organizations, and translating consumer and market trends into commercial growth. This leader will serve as a strategic partner to the executive team and will play a critical role in shaping our broader commercial strategy, customer portfolio, go-to-market approach, and long-term growth. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

15+ years of progressive sales experience, with significant leadership responsibility in the food industry. Produce/fresh/frozen/deli parts of the store background preferred also.

The approximate pay range for this position is $200-280K base plus generous bonus and comprehensive benefits package including full health insurance/dental/vision, 401K, PTO, etc. This range is provided as a good faith estimate at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
