TECHNICAL CO-FOUNDER — FIELD RESONATOR
Remote founding-partner opportunity | macOS, continuity and reliable execution

I’m Lenny Sofsky, founder of Stonefield Foundry Industries. I’m looking for an individual technical founding partner for Field Resonator (FR): someone who wants to understand the whole system, challenge assumptions thoughtfully, and turn ambitious architecture into dependable software.

FR is an experimental, local-first intelligence architecture. Its purpose is to carry project history, decisions, unfinished obligations and explicit permissions across interactions, models and tools—without making the human rebuild the context every time. An existing Mac-based build is in development. This is a continuation of that work, not a blank-slate rebuild or a claim of a finished autonomous product.

PLEASE READ THE ECONOMICS FIRST
There is no current cash budget, salary, paid audition, retainer or deferred-payment commitment. This is a potential founding partnership, not a salaried engineering vacancy. Any FR-only ownership, responsibilities and terms would be negotiated separately in writing if we find mutual fit. No equity percentage, funding, future salary or commercial outcome is promised. This does not offer ownership in the SFI parent or other projects. SFI is a founder-led initiative; incorporation is pending. No agency engagement is being sought.

THE FIRST ENGINEERING PRIORITIES
• Understand the existing source, architecture and evidence before proposing changes. Preserve working components and identify the actual blockers.
• Strengthen durable state, provenance, retrieval, correction and restart recovery.
• Integrate reasoning, model adapters and useful Mac workflows with explicit permissions, revocation and verification before consequential actions.
• Produce reproducible tests, clear failure reports, rollback paths and documentation another engineer can follow.
• Take responsibility for technical testing and implementation; the founder should not have to act as the programmer or test harness.

WHO FITS
Personally demonstrated software engineering, Python and/or Swift, meaningful macOS experience, and practical knowledge of persistence, local AI, secure data handling and automated testing. Depth matters: distinguish a concept from an implementation, a simulation from a real test, and a passing test from a finished capability.

You will work directly with me. I retain final product and company authority and welcome candid engineering disagreement supported by evidence. Technical judgment, clear communication and dependable follow-through are essential.

HOW WE WORK
Agree on a realistic next step and date. Keep the commitment, or communicate before the deadline if something changes. A clear “I can’t commit” is welcome. Silence after accepting responsibility is not a workable foundation for this partnership. These expectations apply equally to everyone.

Remote collaboration; interest is welcome across countries and backgrounds. Please state your time zone, realistic weekly availability and workable meeting overlap. Hours and responsibilities must be mutually agreed; full-time unpaid availability is not assumed.
