MedBest has been retained to find a Director of Nursing for Williamsburg Landing, a beautiful Assisted Living Community in Broward County. This leader will guide the nursing team, strengthen clinical practices, and partner with community leadership to elevate resident care.

The right person brings sound clinical judgment and the organization to run a nursing department independently. This is an opportunity to establish clear processes, develop the team, and make a lasting impact on how care is delivered.

This position is open because the current DON is stepping back into a different role as she approaches retirement in a few years. This shift will allow for a smooth transition for the incoming DON, along with continued support from the previous leader.

What you’ll do

• Oversee resident assessments, care plans, documentation, and clinical follow-through.
• Lead and develop nurses, medication technicians, and resident care staff.
• Strengthen processes, accountability, and resident safety.
• Communicate clearly with residents, families, providers, and the Executive Director.
• Use clinical technology and records to keep the department organized and responsive.

What you bring

• An active nursing license and qualifications appropriate for clinical leadership in a Florida assisted living community.
• Assisted living experience and prior DON, ADON, Wellness Director, or comparable leadership experience.
• Knowledge of Florida assisted living requirements and experience with 1823 forms.
• Strong assessment, administrative, communication, and technology skills.
• A visible, collaborative leadership style and interest in a long-term commitment.

An RN is strongly preferred. A highly qualified LPN with the right assisted living leadership experience will be considered.
