Location: North Phoenix, AZ (On-site, semiconductor project site)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 per year

Schedule: 60/60/50 rotation, with early morning and evening communication as needed

Our client, an Arizona industrial and structural steel contractor established in 1974 with its own fabrication shop and field ironwork crews, is seeking an experienced Superintendent for a major semiconductor (hi-tech) project in North Phoenix.

In this role, you will lead the on-site team and run day-to-day field operations on a hi-tech facility, keeping work safe, on schedule, and on budget while holding the team accountable. You will be responsible for erection planning, manpower, equipment management, and job site safety across multiple scopes.

Responsibilities

• Work with Project Managers and the general contractor to build an effective erection plan
• Set manpower levels, including crew size and skill mix, to hold the schedule
• Recruit, interview, discipline, and promote crew members
• Coach foremen and crews on hazards and controls, and champion job site safety
• Develop and run the on-site equipment management plan for 20+ pieces of equipment
• Attend customer meetings and report status and progress across multiple scopes
• Provide Project Managers with job costing information and strategies to meet budget

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Superintendent, or 5+ years as a General Foreman
• Extensive field experience as an ironworker and foreman
• Experience managing on-site crews of 50 or more
• Ability to run an equipment plan for 20+ pieces of equipment
• Knowledge of job costing and production forecasting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to work a 60/60/50 rotation schedule
• Willingness to complete the NCCER Superintendent Certification Program
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work on elevated structures
• This is a safety-sensitive position under Arizona law
