About this opportunity
Responsibilities
• Architect and maintain high-availability systems for 24/7 operations, implementing redundancy, health checks, monitoring, alerting, and backup/recovery solutions.
• Design and optimize database schemas, and implement/tune SQL for RDBMS platforms (Amazon RDS/Aurora, MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Develop, test, and maintain web applications, APIs, and batch processes to support business operations.
• Build and operate cloud-based systems on AWS (EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch).
• Lead incident response efforts including initial investigation, recovery, root cause analysis, and implementation of permanent fixes.
• Execute regular maintenance activities including patching, releases, and performance testing.
• Drive technical implementation activities, release planning, deployment execution, and post-deployment validation.
• Partner with business users, project managers, infrastructure teams, InfoSec, QA, and external vendors to deliver technology solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and actionable implementation plans.
• Provide technical support during audits, regulatory reviews, and risk assessments.
• Perform other duties as required and participate in special projects as deemed necessary by Management.
Minimum Skills & Requirement
s
• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related fiel
d.• Experience: 6-10 years of hands-on full stack Angular/Python developer experience in web application/backend system
s.• Experience with RDBMS (SQL Server/MySQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle, etc.): schema and index design, SQL implementation and performance tunin
g.• Experience working in Linux environments (basic commands, log investigation
).• Practical experience with or strong understanding of cloud platforms, preferably AW
S.• Experience with or understanding of system monitoring tools (CloudWatch
).• Experience with or understanding of source code management, such as TFS/DevOp
s.• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and other Office product
s.• Must be versatile, able to work effectively independently or as part of a team on multiple projects simultaneousl
y.• Flexible to work beyond regular office hours at times based on business need
s.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $120K-$170K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.
