About the role
Appleton Finn is partnering with a 100% employee-owned commercial interiors general contractor, recognized as one of Inc. Magazine’s Best Workplaces for five years running. They’re hiring a Service Project Manager to lead their service group in Bellevue.
This is a hands-on role for someone who likes fast-moving work, close client relationships and running lots of projects at once. You’ll own small TI and service projects from the first client call to closeout. You’ll also lead and develop a small team of Project Engineers who support service requests.
What you’ll do
- Respond quickly to client requests, walk sites and define the scope
- Build conceptual budgets, detailed estimates and proposals, often from field conditions with limited drawings
- Run multiple small projects at once, including office buildouts, refreshes, flooring and paint, conference room changes, door and hardware work, millwork, and small MEP and tech upgrades
- Lead, prioritize and mentor a small team of Project Engineers (2-3) on service work
- Coordinate work in occupied buildings while keeping disruption to tenants low
- Manage subs, costs, change orders, invoicing and closeout
- Build lasting relationships with clients, property managers and building engineers, and turn them into repeat work
What we’re looking for
- 3-5+ years of commercial construction PM experience, with service, TI or small-works experience strongly preferred
- Proven experience leading people, such as PEs, APMs, superintendents or a facilities team
- Strong hands-on estimating, including pricing work from a site walk
- A GC or facilities/owner-side background in Seattle or the Eastside
- Procore and Bluebeam; Timberline and MS Project are a plus
- Responsive and reliable, and comfortable with occasional off-hours work in occupied buildings
- Someone who wants to build a career in service work, not just pass through it
Compensation and benefits
- $110,000-$125,000 base, depending on experience
