Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical and architectural leadership for large-scale enterprise Java applications.
• Define solution architecture, high-level solution designs, target-state architecture, and technology roadmaps.
• Design scalable applications using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native architecture.
• Define and maintain reference architectures, enterprise integration patterns, design patterns, and architecture standards.
• Lead the modernization and re-platforming of legacy enterprise applications to cloud environments.
• Design architectures across application, integration, technology, security, information, and deployment layers.
• Develop architectural roadmaps to support new business capabilities and enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Identify and implement appropriate AI/ML and Generative AI use cases within enterprise applications.
• Architect integration of GenAI, LLM, and AI/ML capabilities with Java-based enterprise applications.
• Ensure AI solutions align with enterprise security, risk, governance, and architecture standards.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Architects, Engineering Leads, Enterprise Architects, and Security/Risk teams.
• Conduct architecture and design reviews to ensure engineering solutions follow established standards and patterns.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and solution alternatives based on scalability, performance, security, operational efficiency, and cost.
• Participate in technical POCs, vendor/product evaluations, and architecture governance reviews.
• Develop reusable reference implementations and application design patterns.
• Provide architectural guidance throughout development, testing, deployment, production support, and incident resolution.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering, application development, and Solution Architecture experience.
• Strong hands-on development background in Java/J2EE.
• Strong experience with Spring/Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
• Proven experience providing Solution Architecture for large-scale enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, software design patterns, architecture principles, and reference architectures.
• Hands-on architectural experience with modern cloud-native applications.
• Proven experience modernizing/re-platforming large legacy enterprise applications to the cloud.
• Strong understanding of platform and application security architecture patterns.
• Practical experience with AI/ML and Generative AI and demonstrated ability to apply these technologies to solve business problems.
• Experience or strong understanding of GenAI/LLM integration with enterprise applications.
• Experience working with both legacy and modern cloud-based distributed systems.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of technical or architecture leadership experience.
• 3+ years of large-scale enterprise transformation or application modernization experience.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, AI/ML platforms, and enterprise AI integration.
• Experience working within enterprise architecture, security, risk, and governance frameworks.
• Financial services, banking, lending, or mortgage domain experience is desirable.
