About this opportunity
Business Development Manager, Data Centers and AI
About the Role:
Technical Source partners with organizations delivering mission-critical infrastructure and technology programs: hyperscale and colocation data center builds, AI infrastructure, and the networks and security that keep them running. We help them build and deploy the technical teams their projects demand. We’re growing and looking for a consultative Business Development Manager to build this side of our business.
This is a hunter role with real upside. You’ll own a book of business from first call through full account development, working with clients where schedules are tight, a missed window costs real money, and the right talent is the constraint.
You will be responsible for:
· Identifying and winning new client relationships with data center owners, operators, general contractors, MEP and commissioning firms, and enterprise technology leaders, through targeted outreach, in-person engagement, and strategic prospecting
· Becoming a trusted resource for clients by understanding their build schedules, technical requirements, and where their workforce gaps will slow them down
· Translating complex requirements (commissioning, critical facilities, power and cooling, network and cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity) into solutions that work for both client and candidate
· Helping develop and lead a delivery team to execute on the commitments you make
Qualifications:
· 3+ years in business development or account management with demonstrated new account acquisition in data center, mission-critical construction, or infrastructure technology. You should be able to walk through what you did, how you did it, and what it produced
· A working understanding of how data center programs run, from design and construction through commissioning and operational readiness, and the roles each phase needs
· Familiarity with project-based or technical workforce solutions; you understand how this business works and can sell it consultatively
· You ask good questions, listen before you pitch, and build solutions rather than fill orders
· Comfortable in a performance-driven environment where results are the measure
This is not a general IT staffing role. If your book is helpdesk, desktop support, or commodity IT contracting, this isn’t the fit.
What we offer: You won’t be a number here. You’ll get direct access to leadership, hands-on development, and a team invested in your success. Competitive base salary, uncapped commissions, performance bonuses, and incentive trips. We hold ourselves accountable and we’ll hold you to the same standard, because that’s how everyone wins.
If you can demonstrate all of the above, let’s talk.
