Downers Grove, IL (on-site) | $70,000 to $80,000 + 5% bonus

A PE-backed specialty retailer with about 170 company-owned locations in four countries is adding a Staff Accountant to its corporate team. The company opens about 20 new locations a year and runs a lean, close-knit accounting group.

You will own company spend: corporate cards, employee reimbursements, and travel reporting. You will also handle month-end entries, prepaids, and help with accounting for an international entity.

What you'll own

• Corporate card process, start to finish, with correct coding
• Employee expense reimbursements
• Monthly travel spend reporting for leadership
• Prepaid schedule and monthly amortization
• Month-end journal entries
• Balance sheet reconciliations for a set of accounts
• Vendor invoice review and approval
• Support for international entity accounting

What you bring

• Bachelor's in accounting or finance
• 1 to 2 years in public accounting, industry, or both
• Strong Excel
• Organized, detail-focused, and owns their work
• Clear communicator who works well alone and on a team

Nice to have

• Retail or manufacturing experience
• NetSuite and Navan
• CPA or CPA track
• A passion for sports and leisure
