Location: Kirkland, WA (HQ) — on-site · Type: Full-time · Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer function; until the CMO is seated, directly to the Founder & CEO

Compensation: $180,000–$240,000 base salary · performance bonus · founding equity grant, 4-year vest

About Hussh

Hussh (hussh 🤫) is an AI-first research, machine-learning, and product organization building Private Agent One — a private personal AI agent: personal superintelligence that works for the human it belongs to, with the human owning their information and sharing it only by their consent. A sister business runs permanent capital (Fund A / Alphabet 27) on the same doctrine. We are 100% founder-funded, with no outside investors. Headquarters is Kirkland, WA.

Until now, Hussh has had no marketing team at all. The founder has written every word the company has published. This is the first marketing hire in the company's history.

About the role

You are the founding marketing lead: a hands-on builder, not a coordinator. Your job has three parts, and they are the whole job:

1. Build the lead-generation engine — and make the pipeline really good. Pipeline quality is the job, not pipeline volume. We would rather have 40 conversations that convert than 400 that waste a salesperson's week.

2. Build the brand in market. The website, the content, the social presence, the launch moments — the public face of the company becomes yours to build, starting from nothing.

3. Run the machine honestly. You own the funnel in our CRM (we run Attio) — every campaign sourced, every lead scored, every conversion tracked, every number reported as it actually is.

You will work shoulder-to-shoulder with our Founding Sales Lead: you own lead quality and conversion readiness; sales owns the conversation and the close. The boundary is clear, and the shared metric is pipeline that converts.

One doctrine governs everything you ship: we never sell, rent, or trade a user's information — including in marketing. No surveillance-based targeting, no data brokers, no third-party tracking that treats the user as inventory. We acquire customers the way we build the product: by earning trust.

Responsibilities

Demand generation. Design and run campaigns across LinkedIn, Google, content/SEO, email lifecycle, events, and partnerships — with a single testable thesis per campaign and a kill criterion set before it launches.

Lead quality system. Define and own scoring, enrichment, routing, and nurture in Attio and the automation layer — so that a salesperson's time is spent only on people who are ready and a fit.

Brand and content in market. Own the website (Webflow/Framer), the editorial calendar, and social (LinkedIn, X, YouTube) — and ship the content yourself until a team exists to help.

AI discovery. Own Hussh's visibility in search and in AI-generated answers (SEO and AEO/GEO). We sell private personal superintelligence; when someone asks an AI who builds it, the answer must be Hussh.

Marketing operations. Stand up and run the stack: Attio, automation, analytics, attribution, dashboards, and the weekly reporting cadence that makes the funnel a fact, not a feeling.

Experiments. Run a disciplined test cadence — landing pages, offers, creative, audiences — and keep a public record of what worked, what didn't, and what you killed.

Expectations

First 90 days: the stack is live and integrated (Attio + automation + analytics + attribution); the first campaigns are running with a thesis and a kill criterion; the lead-quality system is defined and in use.

Six months in: a repeatable lead flow exists with quality metrics — conversion by source, cost per qualified opportunity, and a pipeline number sales trusts.

The standing standard: every hire here must generate 100–1000× their pay in outcomes. A founding marketing lead must be able to point to pipeline and brand outcomes, not activity.

You may be a good fit if you

• Have 7+ years in marketing with direct, hands-on ownership of demand generation — you have run the campaigns, not only approved them.

• You have built lead generation from zero at an early-stage company or a new business line: no inherited playbook, no inherited team.

• Have a record on lead quality, not just volume: you can state your MQL→SQL conversion, your sales-accepted rate, and your cost per qualified opportunity, by source.

• Are fluent in the modern stack (below): CRM and automation administration, analytics, paid platforms, and content systems — you configure them yourself.

• Are a strong writer: you will be the company's working writer for web, email, and social until the team grows.

• Bring analytical rigor: funnel math, cohort thinking, and attribution skepticism — you trust the CRM over the dashboard.

• Are comfortable in a founder-led company: direct feedback, shifting priorities, and no layer between you and the founder.

Strong candidates may also have

• Time at a frontier AI lab or a category-defining product company (the standard we measure against: the companies that set the conversation, not the ones that follow it).

• Experience marketing a trust-sensitive product — privacy, security, finance — where claims had to be true.

• Hands-on AEO/GEO work: you have measurably improved a brand's presence in AI-generated answers.

• Video and social craft: you have personally shipped content that traveled, and can explain why it worked.

The stack you will run

Day one, and you must be fluent — not familiar, fluent:

• CRM: Attio (system of record; you own its marketing data model)

• Marketing automation & lifecycle email: HubSpot Marketing Hub or Marketo Engage; lifecycle tooling as needed

• Analytics: GA4; Mixpanel or Amplitude; Looker dashboards

• Attribution: multi-touch attribution (e.g., Dreamdata, Northbeam, or equivalent), reconciled to Attio

• Enrichment & data: Clay, Apollo, Clearbit or equivalent

• Paid: LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager

• Discovery: Ahrefs or Semrush; AEO/GEO visibility tooling

• Web & creative: Webflow or Framer; Figma; basic video editing for social cuts

• Social & distribution: LinkedIn, X, YouTube native tooling and scheduling

Compensation

$180,000–$240,000 base salary, plus a performance bonus tied to pipeline outcomes, plus a founding equity grant (4-year vest). The range is the base salary; where you land in it depends on the record you bring, and we will tell you why.

Benefits

Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage. A 401(k) plan. Employer-matched contributions to Trump Accounts. Support for continuing education, retooling, and retraining — including AI courses, which we actively encourage. Above all: you will work with the latest AI technologies every day, and the expectation — for engineers and non-engineers alike — is to become expert in using them, running evals on your own work until it reaches an A+ standard.

Benefits are subject to the terms of the applicable plans and to eligibility requirements, in accordance with federal and state law.

1. Tell us about a pipeline you built from zero — the motion, the cost per qualified opportunity, and the number it reached in its first two quarters.

2. Describe a piece of content or a campaign that outperformed everything else you have shipped — why it worked, in evidence, and how you scaled it.

3. Give us a marketing bet that failed: the spend, the signal that told you to stop, and what you did with the budget instead.
