Chief Marketing Officer

Compensation: $275,000–$375,000 base salary · annual executive bonus · founding equity grant, 4-year vest

About Hussh

Hussh (hussh 🤫) is an AI-first research, machine-learning, and product organization building Private Agent One — a private personal AI agent. Personal superintelligence that works for one human: the human it belongs to. The human owns their information, controls every machine that touches it, and shares it only by their consent. That is not our marketing line. It is the product architecture, and it is the opposite of how the industry currently makes its money.

Beside it sits a sister business: a permanent-capital asset manager (Fund A / Alphabet 27), run on the same doctrine . We are 100% founder-funded, with no outside investors. Headquarters is Kirkland, WA. Today, Hussh has no marketing function: no brand team, no demand engine, no comms shop. The founder is the brand, the positioning, and the press office. That ends with this hire.

About the role

We are seeking our first Chief Marketing Officer — a founder-level seat, not a department head's — to own and drive all things marketing for Hussh: brand, positioning, demand generation, pipeline, product marketing, communications, and launch, for everything we ship: Private Agent One, iMoney (production launch December 27, 2026), the puppy home supercomputer, and the public story of the asset-management business.

There is no playbook to inherit and no team to manage on day one. You will write the strategy, stand up the function, hire the leaders, and personally own the work until the team exists to carry it. You will be accountable for a pipeline number jointly with sales, and for the public voice of the company from your first week.

Two boundaries are structural, and they are not negotiable. We never market what doesn't exist yet: no vaporware, no demos that are not the product. And we never put the user's data in the center of the model: the customer is the user, never the product. If a growth tactic depends on violating either, it is not an option.

In your first 90 days: the positioning and messaging architecture is written and adopted; the stack and measurement discipline are chosen and running; the iMoney launch plan is owned and in motion; and the first brand system is live. The mandate is to build marketing as a durable function, not as a launch campaign.

Responsibilities

• Define and own Hussh's positioning and messaging architecture for Private Agent One and the company — the one narrative every product, launch, and hire is measured against.

• Build the brand system from zero: identity, voice, and the standard every artifact is judged against — including the discipline to kill work that does not meet it.

• Own a pipeline number jointly with sales — not impressions, not MQL confetti: build the demand engine, the attribution, and the weekly operating rhythm that makes the number real.

• Own go-to-market for every launch, starting with iMoney's production launch on December 27, 2026 and Private Agent One's launch in January 2027 — from positioning and pricing narrative through launch execution and post-launch measurement.

• Own the public story — press, announcements, executive visibility, and crisis response — in coordination with the founder, who remains the public face of the company.

• Stand up and own the marketing stack and the measurement discipline: Attio as the CRM of record; HubSpot for marketing automation; GA4, Google Ads, and LinkedIn Ads for acquisition measurement; and the reporting cadence that keeps leadership honest.

• Own Hussh's visibility in the new discovery layer — search and AI-generated answers alike (SEO and GEO) — so that when someone asks who builds private personal superintelligence, the answer is Hussh.

• Own the marketing budget as if it were your own money — because at a founder-funded company, it is. Allocation, experimentation, and the discipline to stop what does not work.

You may be a good fit if you

• Have 15+ years in marketing, with at least 5 years in senior leadership owning the full funnel — brand through pipeline — at a company that sells to both consumers and enterprises.

• Have built a brand or a category at a company people now use as the reference point, and can name the decisions you made that built it — not only the campaigns you ran.

• Have owned a demand-generation number jointly with sales leadership, with attribution that survived scrutiny from a CFO.

• Have marketed complex, technical products to both consumer and enterprise audiences — ideally AI, infrastructure, or developer-adjacent products.

• Have owned significant budgets with demonstrated discipline: allocation decisions you made, spend you cut, and experiments you killed.

• Have hired and developed marketing leaders, not only managed inherited teams.

• Read funnel, cohort, and attribution data yourself: you do not wait for an analyst to tell you what happened.

• Are an exceptional editor of other people's work and your own: our public voice is a craft discipline, and you will hold it.

Strong candidates may also have

• Time at a frontier AI lab or a category-defining product company (the standard we measure against: the companies that set the conversation, not the ones that follow it).

• Launch experience for a regulated or trust-sensitive product — finance, health, privacy, or security.

• Both zero-to-one and scale-stage experience: you have built a function from nothing and also run one at scale.

• Hands-on fluency with AI tooling inside marketing operations — you use the technology we sell, in your own work, every day.

Compensation

The annual base salary range for this role is $275,000–$375,000 USD. Base salary is one part of the package. The role also includes an annual executive bonus tied to company and individual performance, and a founding equity grant (4-year vest). Founding titles are permanent: no future re-leveling takes yours away.

Benefits

Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage. A 401(k) plan. Employer-matched contributions to Trump Accounts. Support for continuing education, retooling, and retraining — including AI courses, which we actively encourage. Above all: you will work with the latest AI technologies every day, and the expectation — for engineers and non-engineers alike — is to become expert in using them, running evals on your own work until it reaches an A+ standard.

Benefits are subject to the terms of the applicable plans and to eligibility requirements, in accordance with federal and state law.
