About this opportunity
Pixyls Crafts Inc. | Part-time, with a path to full-time | Remote | 10-20hrs/week | USD$30/hr
About Us
We make premium sticker art kits. Every kit is designed by a real artist and credited to them by name. We don't use AI art. We're always pushing what a sticker kit can be, and we want someone who wants to push it further.
What matters most
We're looking for someone who is endlessly creative. You see a new material, format or art style and think "what if we tried..." instead of "that won't work." You believe anything is possible, you love exploring artistry in all its forms, and your enthusiasm is contagious, especially to the artists you work with.
The role
You'll lead Vexyls artist partnerships from start to finish: finding new artists, bringing them on board, guiding them as they turn their work into a Vexyls kit, and delivering the final, production-ready kit to our team. It's half creative direction, half project and relationship management. It starts part-time and can grow into a full-time role as our artist program grows.
What you'll do
- Discover artists whose style could become something new for Vexyls, and dream up ideas for what their work could become
- Reach out to artists, pitch the partnership and answer their questions
- Onboard new artists into the Vexyls Studio platform and walk them through our art requirements
- Meet with artists to give clear, inspiring creative direction
- Run regular check-ins to keep each project on track
- Support artists with technical questions (vector setup, layers, colour limits, sizing, export)
- Review artwork for quality and production readiness, and give kind, specific feedback
- Report progress, ideas and blockers back to the team
- Deliver final partnership kits, with files checked and ready for production
What you bring
- Endless creativity and an "anything is possible" mindset
- Real enthusiasm for exploring art styles, techniques and new ideas
- Strong technical illustration skills, especially vector work in Adobe Illustrator
- A clear artistic point of view and an eye for pieces worth hanging on a wall
- Excellent communication; you can explain technical things simply
- Patience, and a love of teaching artists at very different experience levels
- Organization and follow-through across several projects at once
- A portfolio of your own illustration work
- You're a fast self-learner. You know the right questions to ask.
Nice to have
- Experience in art direction, artist relations, licensing or product development
- Knowledge of print production and special finishes (foil, holographic, layering)
- An existing network in the illustration or craft community
Why you'll love it
- Creative freedom to shape the Vexyls artist roster and what our kits can become
- Work directly with independent artists and bring their art to thousands of people
- Flexible hours and a small, friendly team
- A clear path to full-time
