About SupplyWhy

SupplyWhy is on a mission to harmonize global supply chain networks, helping automotive and manufacturing teams move from reactive firefighting to predictive, interoperable execution. We are the team behind Jenae℠, a multi-agent AI system purpose-built for automotive supply chain resiliency, with human judgment, adoption, trust, and workflow fit at the center. Combining deep automotive domain knowledge, AI expertise, and enterprise SaaS experience, we help customers reduce waste, give people time back, and improve operational and financial outcomes.

The role

Your primary mandate is to win new enterprise customers and grow SupplyWhy's revenue across automotive and manufacturing. Reporting to the CEO, you will own the full sales cycle, from identifying target accounts and generating pipeline to negotiating and closing deals. You will also drive customer adoption, retention, and expansion after the sale.

This is a hands-on role with direct accountability for new-customer growth. You will personally initiate outreach, turn introductions into qualified opportunities, and keep deals moving through persistent follow-up and clear next steps.

Win new customers

  • Build and execute a targeted sales plan for automotive OEMs, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, and manufacturers. Generate opportunities through direct outreach, industry relationships, referrals, and events. Work closely with the CEO to turn industry introductions into customer conversations, qualified opportunities, and closed business.
  • Own a qualified pipeline with clear customer needs, executive sponsors, buying processes, budgets, and next steps. Maintain accurate opportunity records and sales forecasts.
  • Lead discovery and product demonstrations with operational teams and executives. Build business cases connecting SupplyWhy to inventory, production attainment, supply risk, working capital, and profitability.
  • Develop proposals, negotiate commercial terms, navigate procurement, and close new customers. Engage the CEO and technical specialists where needed while retaining ownership of deal progress.
  • Where a pilot is appropriate, drive alignment on success criteria and a commercial decision path upfront, then see conversion through to a paid deployment. Turn successful deals into repeatable sales practices.

Deliver customer value and expand relationships

  • Coordinate onboarding and adoption with technical teams. Establish success plans and value baselines, lead executive reviews, and address risks to customer outcomes, retention, and renewals.
  • Identify and close expansion opportunities across sites, teams, and use cases. Develop customer references and referrals, and translate market feedback into product priorities and credible delivery commitments.

What success looks like

Primary performance measures are new customers won, new-customer bookings, and qualified pipeline coverage. Customer adoption, retention, and expansion are supporting measures, with targets agreed with the CEO.

  • First 30 days: learn the product and customer use cases, agree on target segments and sales goals, build a prioritized prospect list, and launch outreach.
  • By 90 days: build qualified pipeline against agreed coverage targets, establish executive relationships, and advance opportunities with documented business cases and close plans.
  • By six months: close new customers against agreed bookings and customer acquisition targets, convert successful pilots where applicable, and establish a repeatable sales process and effective onboarding for new wins.

Required experience and capabilities

  • A demonstrated record of personally sourcing and closing new enterprise customers and meeting sales targets. Be ready to explain your results, deal complexity, and contribution from first contact to close.
  • Direct automotive supply-chain or manufacturing experience, including selling into the sector, with a practical understanding of OEM or supplier operations, buying processes, and performance measures.
  • Experience managing complex enterprise sales cycles, building executive relationships, negotiating contracts, and navigating procurement with multiple decision makers.
  • Ability to connect operational improvements to financial value and build credible business cases with customer finance and operations teams.
  • Strong discovery and communication skills, with the ability to earn trust from planners and plant leaders to CFOs and COOs, and coordinate teams through adoption and customer escalations.
  • Practical AI and analytics fluency: identify useful applications, explain limitations, and work with product and engineering on solutions customers can adopt.
  •  High personal ownership, resourcefulness, and comfort with ambiguity. You initiate outreach without waiting for direction, turn conversations into concrete next steps, handle rejection constructively, and maintain momentum through disciplined follow-through.Preferred experience
  • Selling enterprise software, AI, or analytics to manufacturers; an established network of automotive buyers and decision makers.
  • Experience with manufacturing planning, ERP or EDI workflows, inventory optimization, or profitability improvement programs.
  • Building a sales process in an early-stage company and converting initial deployments into references, renewals, and broader account adoption.

Why join SupplyWhy
