Senior Tax Manager

Senior Manager, Income Tax | Chicago | Hybrid

I’m working on a confidential search for a Senior Manager, Income Tax with a large, complex organization headquartered in Chicago.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants broader ownership than a traditional tax compliance role. The position will have significant responsibility across tax accounting, income tax compliance, planning, forecasting, audit support, and process improvement, while working closely with senior finance leadership and managing/developing members of the tax team.

Client is looking for someone with a strong corporate income tax foundation who can operate comfortably in a complex, multi-entity environment. The ideal background includes:

• Strong ASC 740 / income tax provision experience
• Federal and multi-state corporate income tax expertise
• Experience overseeing compliance and reviewing complex tax work
• Familiarity with tax planning, forecasting, and cash tax considerations
• Experience supporting federal and state tax examinations
• Exposure to SOX, internal controls, and external audit
• Ability to research and communicate complex tax matters
• Experience leading or developing tax professionals
• Comfort partnering with accounting, finance, treasury, and senior leadership
