Salary: $95,000 - $105,000

Work style: 5 days in office.

Position Summary

Global manufacturing company in Chicago office seeking a Senior Accountant to support month-end close, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, inventory accounting, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and AP/AR activities. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in a fast-paced accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare month-end journal entries and account reconciliations

Support month-end and year-end close processes

Prepare financial reports and reporting packages

Manage inventory accounting and related reserves

Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules

Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions

Assist with cash forecasting and reporting

Support internal and external audits

Process AP activities, including wire transfers and 1099 reporting

Assist with AR reconciliations and related accounting activities

Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

CPA or equivalent certification

Minimum 5 years of accounting experience

Knowledge of GAAP

Experience with month-end close and general ledger accounting

Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, functions)

Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems

Experience with inventory accounting and reconciliations

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Experience

Manufacturing or distribution industry accounting

Fixed asset accounting
