Attorney - Insurance Defense | Up to $225K Base + Bonus | New York City | Remote
Complex New York litigation, meaningful case ownership and direct exposure to clients, depositions and courtroom strategy.
Join a growing New York defense practice handling sophisticated civil litigation for insurers, corporations and self-insured businesses across high-exposure matters throughout the state.
Platform
Broad Defense Practice: Work across general liability, premises liability, Labor Law, construction-related claims, automobile/trucking and catastrophic injury matters.
Substantive Case Ownership: Manage matters through pleadings, discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, mediations, hearings and trial preparation.
Strong Client Exposure: Work directly with insurance carriers, corporate clients, property owners and institutional businesses on strategically important disputes.
Hands-On Litigation Experience: Gain meaningful responsibility across depositions, court appearances, motion practice, settlement strategy and trial work.
Responsibilities
- Manage insurance defense matters from inception through resolution
- Take and defend fact, party and expert depositions
- Develop litigation strategy and provide direct client reporting
- Support and participate in trial preparation and trial
Requirements
- 3+ years of insurance defense / civil litigation experience
- Experience in general liability, premises liability, Labor Law, construction, auto/trucking or casualty defense
- New York Bar admission required
- New Jersey admission is a plus
