General Liability Associate | Manhattan, NY | Remote | $230K
Seeking a mid-level General Liability Associate with 2–8 years of post-bar experience and an active New York bar. This is not a clerkship or first-year seat.
Our client is a national insurance-defense firm with a Manhattan office that handles New York general liability and premises work. The firm tries cases. Teams are built so associates can grow a practice, not just feed a partner’s book. The culture is unusually calm for a New York defense shop - no yellers, real mentoring, and a Remote schedule.

Key Duties:
- Defend general liability and premises matters in New York state and federal court
- Manage discovery, depositions, and motion practice
- Prepare for mediations, hearings, and trial
- Advise carriers on exposure and strategy
- Take ownership of files through resolution
Requirements:
- JD and active New York bar
- 2–8 years of post-bar general liability or insurance defense experience
- Current or recent title of Associate or equivalent — law clerks and summer associates will not be considered
- Deposition and motion-practice experience
