Paving Project Manager

An established heavy civil contractor is looking to bring an experienced Paving Project Manager onto its team to oversee the successful delivery of paving projects from preconstruction through to completion.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven construction professional with a strong background in asphalt paving, highway construction and project management who wants to take ownership of projects, lead teams and play a key role in the continued success of a growing operation.

The Opportunity

You will be responsible for managing paving projects across all stages of delivery, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and profitably. Working closely with field leadership, estimators, subcontractors and clients, you will have the autonomy to make decisions, solve problems and drive project performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage paving projects from planning and mobilization through to final completion.
• Oversee project budgets, cost control, forecasting, schedules and profitability.
• Coordinate field operations, superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers and equipment.
• Ensure projects are delivered to the required quality standards and safety requirements.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, municipalities, DOT representatives and other project stakeholders.
• Identify and manage project risks, change orders and potential cost overruns.
• Monitor production rates, material usage and operational efficiency to maximize project performance.

What We're Looking For

• Experience managing asphalt paving, highway construction or related heavy civil projects.
• Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, estimating and cost control.
• Experience coordinating field crews and managing multiple projects or work packages.
• Knowledge of paving operations, materials, production rates and construction sequencing.
• Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills.
• A commercially minded approach with a proven ability to deliver projects safely, on schedule and within budget.
