THE OPPORTUNITY

I’m running a confidential search for a Project Manager with a well-established South Florida general contractor, and this one is a breath of fresh air.

This isn’t a pressure cooker. You won’t be a cog on a mega project or buried under a chain of senior PMs. Here, you own your projects from preconstruction through closeout, and you have a real say in which jobs you take on, so you can choose work that keeps your commute manageable.

The company is large enough to handle complex, high-profile work but small enough that leadership knows your name and genuinely looks out for you. They self-perform key trades including structural concrete, masonry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire sprinklers, which means more control over schedule, quality, and cost (and fewer headaches for you). They’ve never had a recordable injury, and their EMR stays below 1.00.

They’re also growing, with a strong pipeline across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach.

This is not a one-product-type shop. Upcoming and awarded work includes:

• Multistory student housing for a major South Florida university
• Building renovations and office improvements in Miami Beach
• A boutique oceanfront hotel
• Luxury custom estates in Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Run projects from start to finish, including budgets, schedules, buyout, and closeout
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay apps
• Lead subcontractors and partner closely with your superintendent and the self-perform teams
• Be the main point of contact for owners, architects, and design teams
• Keep jobs moving, solve problems early, and deliver the way you’d want your own project built

WHAT YOU BRING

• Experience as a PM with a commercial GC, or an APM who is ready to step up and run your own projects
• Strong RFI, submittal, and document control skills
• Experience in multifamily, commercial, interiors, hospitality, or renovation work
• Organized, accountable, and comfortable owning the full project
• South Florida market knowledge a plus
