The primary focus is ensuring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are effectively teaching, supporting, documenting, and tracking vocational skill development that prepares individuals for meaningful employment and increased independence.

Responsibilities
- Monitor implementation of vocational skill development programs across residential settings.
- Observe staff teaching employment readiness, workplace behaviors, and vocational skills.
- Ensure vocational training activities align with organizational curriculum and ISP goals.
- Audit documentation, data collection, progress notes, and skill acquisition records.
- Measure individual progress toward vocational and employment-related outcomes.
- Analyze performance data and identify opportunities for program improvement.
- Ensure vocational goals are meaningful, person-centered, and focused on increasing independence.
- Support managers and staff in maintaining quality and consistency across homes.
- Collaborate with residential teams to ensure vocational skill development is integrated into daily programming.
- Monitor compliance with agency standards, ISP requirements, and documentation expectations.
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
- Background in vocational services, employment services, day habilitation, supported employment, residential services, program oversight, quality assurance, or related fields.
- Knowledge of vocational training principles, employment readiness, person-centered planning, and ISP development.
- Experience monitoring outcomes, documentation, and program effectiveness.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel between residential locations.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ideal Candidate
A hands-on, field-based professional who enjoys observing programs in action, evaluating outcomes, ensuring accountability, and helping individuals achieve greater independence through vocational skill development and employment readiness training.
This individual understands that meaningful employment can be a pathway to increased independence, self-confidence, community inclusion, and a higher quality of life for people with IDD. The ideal candidate is passionate about measuring progress, improving program quality, and ensuring staff are effectively teaching the skills that lead to long-term vocational success.
