One Nutrition Group is a nutrition private practice based in NYC, offering both in-person and virtual nutrition counseling. Our team works with clients across a wide range of specialties, including eating disorders, weight management, digestive health & GI conditions, women's health, hormonal imbalances, pediatrics, chronic illness and general nutrition. We believe nutrition care should be individualized and realistic without unnecessary restrictions or one-size-fits-all approaches.

One Nutrition Group was founded on the belief that neither clients nor dietitians should feel like just another number. We are a small, close-knit team and want to keep it that way! As we continue to grow, we are looking to add one more dietitian to our team so we can continue providing personalized care while maintaining a work environment where everyone feels supported and part of the team.

About the Position

We are hiring a Registered Dietitian to join our team as an independent contractor, with the opportunity to grow into a part-time or full-time employee role as the position develops if desired.

This is a flexible position with the option to provide virtual nutrition counseling or work in a hybrid setting at our NYC office. Applicants must be based in NYC or the surrounding New York area. While virtual sessions are an option, we are looking for someone local who is interested in being involved with the team, participating in meetings and connecting in person. We are looking for someone who already has strong nutrition counseling skills and feels confident independently conducting sessions with clients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized 1:1 nutrition counseling to clients via telehealth and/or in person
• Conduct comprehensive initial nutrition assessments and ongoing follow-up sessions
• Develop individualized nutrition recommendations based on each client's goals, medical history and needs
• Maintain accurate and timely session notes
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers as needed
• Provide supportive, realistic and evidence-based nutrition counseling
• Participate in team meetings and case discussions
• Contribute ideas and collaborate with the team as the practice grows

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or a related field
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required
• New York State Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN) certification required
• Must reside in NYC or the surrounding New York area
• Minimum of 1 year of experience independently conducting 1:1 nutrition counseling in an outpatient or private practice setting
• Strong nutrition counseling skills, including the ability to independently conduct a full nutrition assessment, guide a session and provide individualized recommendations
• Experience using motivational interviewing and a client-centered counseling approach
• Ability to build rapport with clients, ask thoughtful questions and adapt counseling techniques to each client's needs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while also enjoying being part of a team
• Comfortable conducting virtual nutrition counseling sessions

Please note: Candidates should be prepared to complete a mock nutrition counseling session as part of the interview process. We are looking for someone who is already comfortable and experienced in independently counseling clients.
