Medical Coding Specialist - Hybrid

Healthcare Support has a Medical Coding Specialist opportunity is open in Charlotte, NC, Denver, CO, and New York, NY. We are looking for an experienced coding professional with health plan or payer experience to support claims processing accuracy and coding rule configuration. This role offers the opportunity to combine medical coding expertise with healthcare technology to improve claims accuracy, support client needs, and streamline healthcare operations!

Hybrid Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | 3 days in office / 2 days remote

Compensation: $70,000 - $85,000 annually

Location: Charlotte, NC, Denver, CO, and New York, NY

Daily Responsibilities

• Configure, test, and maintain medical coding rules to ensure accurate claims processing
• Apply CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, revenue codes, bill types, place of service, and other coding guidelines for commercial health plans
• Research and resolve coding questions, conduct claims audits, and ensure coding accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support client implementations, system enhancements, and claims processing improvements
• Maintain coding documentation, support regulatory audits, and improve processes while meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities

Required Qualifications

• AAPC Medical Coding & Billing Certification (e.g., CPC) required. - Looking for CPC or CPB
• 5+ years of experience with a health plan, payer, or third-party administrator (TPA).
