Out client, who is a growing manufacturing company is seeing a controller. The Controller is a key member of the leadership and will have full oversight of the P&L, General Ledger, AP/AR, and Treasury. The controller will lead/mentor several direct and indirect reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including the general ledger, month-end and year-end close processes, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Manage the preparation and review of monthly financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement (P&L), and supporting schedules.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
• Monitor working capital, cash flow, and key financial metrics to support business performance and decision-making.
• Lead, develop, and mentor several direct and in-direct reports across various accounting functions, establishing clear goals, accountability, and performance expectations.
• Identify and implement process improvements, accounting best practices, and standardized procedures to improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
• Evaluate existing workflows, systems, and reporting processes to identify opportunities for automation, increased productivity, and improved financial visibility.
• Coordinate annual financial audits and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
• Assist with the development of the annual budget, financial forecasts, and ongoing financial planning.
• Analyze financial results, identify trends and variances, and provide meaningful insights to management.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure accounting policies and procedures align with GAAP and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• CPA and or public accounting experience HIGHLY preferred!
• 3+ Controller experience within a mid-sized to larger organization required.
• Proven experience managing and developing multiple direct reports.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close processes.
• Demonstrated success implementing process improvements, streamlining workflows, and establishing accounting best practices.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools (i.e. Power BI, Tableau etc...).
