Senior Accountant

Our client, a mid-size manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Accountant with strong analytical skills. This position reports to the controller and will have visibility to several other key leaders. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Prepare and reconcile general ledger, balance sheet, and bank accounts.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including journal entries and accruals.
• Prepare P&L statements and provide commentary to the controller and CFO.
• Review and analyze accounts receivable aging reports, partnering with internal teams to resolve outstanding balances.
• Process and apply customer cash receipts accurately and timely.
• Prepare financial analyses and supporting schedules for management.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 4+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and data analysis.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Self-motivated with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
