Senior Tax Associate

JCW is working with a dynamic private equity firm focused on middle-market companies seeking a Senior Tax Associate. The company strives to enhance operational excellence and growth within their portfolio. This person will be integral in managing partnership tax compliance, reporting, and planning for the portfolio companies. This role collaborates with senior members of the team, advisors, and portfolio management to ensure precise, effective tax strategies aligned with the business’s goals.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all partnership compliance for varied funds
• Quarterly and annual tax reporting
• K1 and tax return review
• Assisting with investor tax requests
• Connect with external tax advisors and fund administrators
• Work directly with Tax Director and assist in more complex transactions including portfolio company tax reporting, M&A issues, distributions to limited partners, waterfall analysis and internal allocations.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of partnership tax experience
• CPA is a plus, but not a must
• Effective communicator, collaborating with teams, management, and advisors
• Organized, detail-oriented, adept at multitasking and meeting deadlines.
