Staff or Sr. Staff Accountant for one of Miami's Top Companies (Broker Dealers)!
A very well known, highly respected, prestigious, Broker Dealer HQ'd in Miami, Coconut Grove is seeking a 2+ year Staff Accountant or Sr. Staff Accountant with Broker Dealer experience. Position Title: Staff Accountant or Sr. Staff Accountant (Broker Dealer)
Location: Miami, Florida (Coconut Grove)
Salary: $90K-$120K + annual bonus
Technical Skill Set Required:
- 2+ years of experience assisting with general accounting responsibilities: General Ledger, Journal Entries, Bank Reconciliations, AP/AR
- Preparing journal entries, Focus Report Form X-17 A-5 Part IIA, equities, and haircuts.
- Prepare monthly bank and trading reconciliations.
- GAAP Experience
- Advanced Excel User
- Reports to executive management
- Assisting with maintaining general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
- Assisting & summarizing financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
- Accounting & General Ledger: Assist with preparing monthly journal entries, manage day-to-day accounting operations, and handle bank, clearing, and trading reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Assist with preparing internal financial statements, management reports, and annual audited financial statements.
- Audits & Exams: Assist with internal and external auditors, tax preparers, and FINRA examination teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with trading desks, operations, and compliance officers to track commissions, trade data, and internal controls.
Job Requirements:
To qualify, candidates must have:
- Minimum of 2-year Accounting experience within a Broker Dealer Enviroment
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
