About this opportunity
We have been exclusively retained by an elite, high-net-worth-focused matrimonial firm in midtown Manhattan seeking to hire a matrimonial attorney or a well-credentialed litigation or transactional attorney who wishes to enter the field. The firm seeks an associate who is eager to litigate and, when ready, to take on significant hands-on responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complex matrimonial litigation cases, including court preparation and trial
- Document discovery, legal research, and motion drafting
- Drafting of nuptial and settlement agreements
- Significant client contact
What the Firm Seeks:
- About two to seven years of experience, ideally in matrimonial law
- Open to well-credentialed litigation or corporate attorneys seeking to enter matrimonial law (BigLaw-type credentials)
- A solid work ethic
- Strong writing skills
What the Firm Offers:
- Base salary of about $140,000 - $230,000, depending on relevant experience
- Annual billable hours expectation of 1800
- Hybrid role: three to four days expected in office per week
We have placed several attorneys with the firm and have close ties there.
