Entry level position as a Real Estate Appraiser Trainee to be trained by an experienced real estate appraiser with a mid-sized appraisal firm based in Brooklyn. Trainee will learn all aspects of commercial real estate appraisal for properties located within the five boroughs of New York City.
Candidate must have a college degree and be self-motivated, organized and detail oriented with excellent writing ability, computational, computer and research skills. An interest in real estate finance, New York City history and neighborhoods, urban planning or architecture a plus. Liberal arts background preferred; no real estate or finance experience necessary.
The writing sample does not have to be related to real estate or finance. We prefer sample from a liberal arts class such as English, history, political science or film to show typical, non-technical writing.
