What You'll Do as a Quality Engineer:

As a Quality Engineer, you'll serve as a key resource for advanced quality planning, customer quality management, and manufacturing process validation. You'll work closely with engineering, manufacturing, production, suppliers, and customers to establish effective quality controls, support new product launches, and maintain high standards of product quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Quality Engineer Duties Include:

• Investigating internal and external quality issues, coordinating containment activities, and implementing corrective and preventive actions

• Utilizing root cause analysis, 8D, and other structured problem-solving methodologies to prevent recurring quality issues

• Reviewing engineering drawings, CAD models, technical specifications, and GD&T requirements to identify potential quality risks

• Validating manufacturing processes, inspection methods, measurement systems, and quality controls prior to production launch

• Supporting Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and resolving dimensional inspection and measurement concerns

• Supporting IATF 16949 quality management system requirements, internal audits, external audits, and certification activities

• Coordinating quality-related activities associated with engineering, material, tooling, equipment, and manufacturing process changes

• Partnering with cross-functional teams to reduce defects, improve process consistency, and strengthen quality performance

• Maintaining accurate quality records, preparing technical reports, and communicating corrective action status and audit findings

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent education and experience considered

• 5+ years of professional experience in quality assurance or quality engineering within a manufacturing environment

• Automotive manufacturing experience preferred

• Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and related quality planning documentation

• Working knowledge of IATF 16949 quality management system requirements and customer-specific quality standards

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and GD&T requirements

• Experience with root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, 8D, and continuous improvement methodologies

• Knowledge of statistical quality tools, quality metrics, data analysis, and performance reporting

• Experience supporting internal and external audits and maintaining quality system compliance

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage customer and supplier relationships

• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize deadlines, and work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams

• Strong commitment to product quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement

Perks & Benefits:

• Competitive salary of up to $95,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications

• Direct-hire opportunity with long-term career potential

• Opportunity to take ownership of advanced quality planning and new product launch activities
