About this opportunity
What if you were the one making the decisions?
Panetta Physical Therapy is hiring a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) to join our Ronkonkoma, Long Island team. We believe physical therapists should be the FIRST stop in musculoskeletal healthcare, not the last. Whether you're a new graduate eager to learn or an experienced PT looking for something more, here's what makes our practice unique.
BE THE DECISION-MAKER: PRACTICE AT THE TOP OF YOUR LICENSE
Many of our patients come to us through direct access. That means our PTs are often the first healthcare providers evaluating a patient's condition, developing a plan of care, and determining when imaging or specialist evaluation may be appropriate. We've built strong relationships with local orthopedists, primary care physicians, rheumatologists, and pain management specialists. We don't just receive referrals. We make them.
NEVER STOP LEARNING: ADVANCED TRAINING IS PART OF OUR CULTURE
• COMT Manual Therapy Training: we host orthopedic manual therapy certification courses right in our clinic to develop advanced hands-on assessment and treatment skills.
• Diagnostic Ultrasound and NCV/EMG: we offer these specialized services in-house, with opportunities to learn skills rarely available in traditional outpatient settings.
• Primary Care PT Residency: our team is in the first cohort of a primary care PT residency, helping advance the role of physical therapists as front-line musculoskeletal providers.
• VALD Performance Technology: we use VALD force plates, DynaMo handheld dynamometry, and other technology to objectively measure strength, power, balance, and side-to-side differences, so our PTs use real data to guide treatment, track progress, and decide when a patient is ready to return to play.
TREAT PEOPLE, NOT JUST DIAGNOSES
We're a family-oriented orthopedic practice treating patients across all ages and stages of life, from everyday aches and pains to complex musculoskeletal conditions and post-surgical rehabilitation.
• One-on-one treatment with the same DPT throughout care
• A hands-on, evidence-based treatment philosophy
• A commitment to helping patients avoid unnecessary medications, injections, and surgery whenever possible
We're also part of the Flip the Pyramid movement, advocating for physical therapy as a first-line treatment option, and we connect with our community through workshops and events.
BE PART OF SOMETHING BIGGER
We're passionate about elevating our profession through continuing education, professional involvement, and developing PTs who are confident clinical decision-makers.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree
• Licensed (or license-eligible) to practice physical therapy in New York State
• New graduates and experienced PTs welcome
• Curious, motivated, and excited about where our profession can go
You don't need to know everything walking in the door. So, what kind of PT do you want to be?
