About this opportunity
Fuze HR Solutions is recruiting a Freight Trader for our client, one of the world’s largest agribusiness and food companies, to join their Miami desk and move cargo across the Americas. You’ll sit between the commodity traders and the ships, deciding which vessels go where, at what price, and for what margin. • Work with the freight operations team, ship masters, technical managers, and agents to execute voyages
• Plan routing and bunkering, and run laytime calculations
• Report on the financial performance of freight positions and voyages
• Be the go-to partner for internal teams and external customers
Positioning and growth: trade the market
• Help hedge freight and bunker exposure within position limits
• Build market views and trading strategies that grow the business in the region
• Hunt for arbitrage across vessel types, geographies, and market imperfections
