If you're a Senior Tax Accountant who's ready to become a Manager, but your current firm doesn't have room for you to move up, this could be worth a conversation.

This independent Hollywood CPA firm is growing, and with one of the Partners planning to retire in the next 4 years, they're looking for someone who wants to build a long term career, take ownership of client relationships and eventually have the opportunity to become a Partner themselves.

They are a small firm, with a collaborative culture, plenty of flexibility and a busy season that typically tops out at max 50 hours a week.

And the work is far more interesting than just preparing and reviewing returns.

You'll work closely with business owners, real estate developers and entrepreneurs, getting involved in tax planning, consulting and helping clients make better financial decisions.

The client portfolio is roughly 60% business and 40% individual, with a strong focus on pass through entities and the business owners behind them.

There's also a genuine opportunity to learn directly from an experienced Partner, get involved in year end planning and gradually take on more responsibility as the firm grows.

What they're looking for:

• A Senior Tax Accountant ready to step into management, with strong preparation and review experience across complex 1040, 1120S, 1065, 1120 and 1041 returns.

• You'll ideally bring experience with trusts and estates, real estate partnerships and developers, including basis and partnership debt allocations. Exposure to M&A and foreign tax matters would be valuable too.

• Just as importantly, you'll enjoy working directly with clients, explaining complex tax matters in plain English, identifying planning opportunities and helping develop junior staff.

• Experience with QuickBooks, tax planning and ideally CCH Axcess
